The Insurance Lab (A Div of BrokerUnion)
Whitby
This isn't a traditional front-desk or administrative position.
At Insurance Lab, we are looking for ambitious professionals at the start of their career who are eager to build hands-on skills in client advisory, risk management, and insurance operations. We don't just want someone to handle paperwork—we want to train our next generation of top-performing brokers.
You’ll begin by supporting our day-to-day client operations, and as you complete training and obtain your licensing (such as RIBO), you will transition into a full-fledged Client Advisor or Sales Broker role.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where initiative is rewarded and growth is clear, keep reading.
Your Growth Roadmap
Phase 1: Foundations & Operations (Months 0–2)
Serve as the first line of contact for client inquiries via phone, email, and digital channels.
Assist senior brokers with administrative policy processing, document collection, and CRM updates.
Master internal systems, workflows, and underwriting basics under direct mentorship.
Shadow experienced brokers during client consultations and quote presentations.
Phase 2: Active Advisory Support (Months 2–4)
Begin supporting licensed brokers with personal and commercial line quoting activities.
Follow up with incoming warm leads to gather risk details and schedule discovery calls.
Independently resolve routine account servicing questions and administrative client requests.
Assist with policy renewal reviews, coverage updates, and client retention initiatives.
Help manage inbound opportunities and participate in proactive client outreach.
Take ownership of end-to-end client support workflows.
High performers who demonstrate solid execution and complete their licensing requirements will be offered a permanent role as a Licensed Client Service Broker or Sales Advisor.
