The Role

The School of Skilled Trades is seeking a Pipe Trades - Steamfitter-Pipefitter Instructor for the Apprenticeship program. This is a full time sessional, tenure-track appointment starting October 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.This is a tenure-track appointment based on favourable evaluations and budget. The tenure track process will be as follows: First Year - Sessional, Second Year - Annual, and Third Year - Continuing.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Journeyperson/Red Seal certification in the related trade with a preferred minimum of five years' experience as a Journeyperson. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:

- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
- an entrepreneurial spirit, specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
- a high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.
