Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst II - Data Governance/Banking. This position involves supporting enterprise-wide data governance and remediation activities within a leading financial institution, focusing on compliance, data standards, and stakeholder collaboration to enhance data retention and disposition practices.

Pay rate range (CAD): $41.28/hr - $49.54/hr

Responsibilities

- Provide data management and governance support to ensure compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support Data Retention and Disposition (DRD) remediation activities
- Assist in assessing, documenting, and supporting data retention and disposition requirements
- Support development of Data Management and Data Retention & Disposition procedures
- Support identification, inventory, and cataloguing of data assets
- Manually execute Data Disposition and Evidencing tasks
- Identify, escape, and document project and data risks/issues
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Manage multiple stakeholder relationships and provide necessary support

Desired Skill-Set

- Governance experience
- Proficiency with Confluence




- Project experience including timelines and risk management
- Data analytics and Excel reporting, including manual processes
- Robust communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

- Experience in financial services or banking
- Knowledge of data management controls and compliance
- Understanding of data regulatory rules
