Enhance child development through the role of Aboriginal Supported Child Development Worker at Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society. This part time position is key for supporting children with developmental delays.
Working under the Skemxist Manager, this role focuses on children aged 6-18 years with various challenges. You will provide tailored assessments, support parental education, and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic growth for children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate children's needs and support parent engagement
• Conduct developmental home visits for planning
• Collaborate with health and social service professionals
• Offer integrated support to Aboriginal families
• Keep client records updated and submit necessary reports
Requirements:
• Basic early childhood education training
• Experience in inclusive childcare of at least three years
• Clean BC Driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Consent to a criminal record check in the vulnerable sector
• Must have physical capability for the role
