- Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the Nurse Educator integrates knowledge, skills and the principles of teaching and learning, in the provision of diabetes education and quality care for clients and families, the general public and health professionals. Teaching can occur in inpatient, outpatient or community settings, with individuals or groups. The incumbent will provide visible,
proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client-centered care through educational activities. The incumbent is responsible for assessing learning needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for clients/families/health professionals. The Diabetes Nurse Educator will use a consultative approach, accepted standards and guidelines and current research findings to provide support to clients and health care professionals as appropriate.

Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
