Join HDR Engineering's Power Delivery team as a Substation Electrical Engineer in Training in Calgary, Alberta. This role is integral to the design and implementation of low, medium, and high voltage electrical substations.
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer in Training to become part of HDR's nationally ranked team. You will be responsible for the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and project analyses, in line with safety standards. Collaborate with various professionals to develop and deliver comprehensive engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce engineering drawings and reports for electrical substations
• Work with Designers and CADD Technicians on project specifications




• Develop and size design deliverables such as wiring and layout diagrams
• Conduct site visits to oversee compliance during construction
• Document project phases and analyses thoroughly
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Engineer In Training (EIT) designation
• Minimum of 2 years in substation P&C; or physical design
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
