Eagle Heart Centre Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Kids First Home Visitor to empower families with young children through hands-on support and advocacy. Join a community-focused team to promote child development and well-being.
In this pivotal role, the Kids First Home Visitor provides culturally safe, trauma-informed assistance to families, helping them enhance parenting skills and achieve stability. Under the guidance of senior team members, you will facilitate regular home visits, strengthen trust, and connect families to vital community resources that reflect Indigenous worldviews.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular home visits to support families
• Strengthen parenting skills through education and resources
• Advocate for families accessing community support
• Document interactions and client progress effectively
• Engage in cooperative team efforts and continuous learning
Requirements:
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development or related field
• Minimum one year of relevant experience
• Understanding of Indigenous worldviews and community diversity
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and insured vehicle
• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
