As a key member of the Lake Charlotte YMCA Early Learning Centre, you’ll report to the Director and focus on meal preparation in line with Canada’s Food Guide. Your hands-on role includes general cleaning tasks and providing essential support in ratio-based programs, ensuring a vibrant, welcoming environment for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve approved meals with nutritional value
• Maintain clean, organized work and storage areas
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly
• Conduct weekly meal prep to support daily service
• Engage actively in monthly staff meetings and training
Requirements:
• Valid Food Handler Certification required
• Complete Orientation for Certificate within six months
• Provide valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Criminal Record Check and other clearances needed
• ECE classification is an asset
