Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate, your training will focus on the gradual learning of basic warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as housekeeping of assigned areas. You will comply with operational, audit, safety and all other company policies while collaborating with experienced associates to handle inbound, outbound, and return processes.

Responsibilities

- Complete local safety orientation and training courses and ensure safety and security policies are followed.
- Shadow more experienced Warehouse Operations associates on the verification of supplier inbound, customer returns, branch returns, and enter order receipts into computer and RF systems.
- Place received material into proper warehouse storage locations after segregating backorders, guided by experienced associates.
- Fill out log sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages or non‑compliant material.
- Practice use of manual or RF process to pick, pack, weigh and ship product.
- Assist in packing, labeling, wrapping and loading inbound/outbound trucks.
- Use system‑generated or manually prepared local delivery records to complete applicable blocks on pick ticket.
- Verify return policy guidelines are followed prior to issuing credit for returned material.
- Pull stock and return to location pending credit memo, sale, or return to supplier.
- Receive training and practice on cutting and spooling wire.
- Maintain counter stock and assist with some customer service activities.
- As the apprentice progresses,



receive additional training on operating a forklift and pallet jacks.

Qualifications

- Ability to follow direction.
- Ambition to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Environment

Warehouse – Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet, well‑ventilated, and well‑lit. Employees may be exposed to various weather conditions and may be required to wear protective clothing. Heavy equipment is operated and strict safety regulations are observed.

Physical Expectations

- Work is physically strenuous, requiring lifting packages up to 50 pounds.
- Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
- Employee required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
- Employee required to use hand tools.

Compensation & Benefits

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
