Join the BC Centre for Ability as a Speech-Language Pathologist focused on pediatric assessments. Collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance communication and swallowing capabilities in children with developmental delays.
In this role, you will utilize advanced clinical skills within a community-based program, providing assessments, diagnostics, and interventions. Work closely with families to deliver psychoeducation and consultation on speech and language diagnoses while contributing to team-oriented efforts with an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and diagnostics for communication disorders
• Provide psychoeducation and counseling to families
• Collaborate within an inter-professional team on treatment protocols
• Evaluate and mentor students and support staff
• Maintain detailed clinical records as per regulations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Completion of BCAAN ADOS-2 course
• Experience in pediatrics or community programs
• Training in Motivational Interviewing preferred
• Registration with CHCPBC required
