About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director to spearhead its expansion into the Canadian market, with a focus on the insurance and private wealth sectors. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading the investment banking practice, driving business development, and establishing a strong brand presence. This role involves developing and maintaining client relationships, originating new engagements across M&A;, strategic advisory, and financial consulting, and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of services. The Managing Director will also be responsible for building out a local team, including office development, hiring strategy, and operational infrastructure, in partnership with U.S. leadership.





Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, with an MBA or relevant certifications preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or a related field, with a proven track record of progressive leadership, is required. The role demands a strong understanding of Canadian financial markets, experience in sourcing and executing deals within the insurance and/or private wealth space, and a demonstrated success in business development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and CRM experience, such as Salesforce, is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a proactive leader, and a agile professional with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
