Become an Accessibility Consultant/Psychologist at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, where you'll champion students with disabilities. This part-time role offers hands-on experience and ongoing support for learners in need.
This position at Regina Campus requires the analysis of documentation, conducting assessments, and communicating accommodations effectively. You will liaise with Learning Services and external funding agencies to ensure that necessary resources are available for students. Encourage self-advocacy and promote a diverse learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with funding for assistive technology
• Provide psycho-educational assessment interpretations
• Record and maintain data for reporting
• Conduct disability workshops based on student needs
• Act as a resource person for students with disabilities
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Educational Psychology or in progress
• Eligible for Saskatchewan College of Psychologists membership
• Two years of educational counseling experience
• Robust interpersonal skills in complex situations
• Knowledge of Indigenous social and cultural challenges
