Apply to be a French sessional instructor at the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures for Fall 2026. Teach in-person courses and contribute to students' language acquisition.
We invite applications for three comprehensive courses from late August through late December 2026. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in French, demonstrate native or near-native language proficiency in French and English, and have a background in teaching at the undergraduate level. This role is crucial for fostering language skills through interactive education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct FREN 213: Intermediate French MWF 10:00-10:50
• Lead FREN 227: La Grammaire par les textes II MF 11:00-12:15
• Teach FREN 329: Expression écrite et orale MF 14:00-15:15
• Prepare all necessary instructional materials
• Assess and provide feedback on student assignments
Requirements:
• PhD in French preferred
• Near-native fluency in French and English required
• Experience teaching undergraduate courses
• Current CV and contact information for referees
• Teaching evaluations (if available)
