Position Summary
As a Personal Support Manager (RPN - Registered Practical Nurse), you will oversee the delivery of client care for a community Personal Support Worker (PSW) team in the London-Middlesex region, including Strathroy and Glencoe. You will ensure high quality care is delivered by engaged and experienced PSWs, manage client, employee, and operational metrics, and support the team using your practical experience. You will bring strong clinical, customer service, and technical skills.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Operational Results
- Provide leadership and engage staff to achieve or exceed performance targets.
- Maximize team performance through effective and efficient resource utilization.
- Promote engagement with SE’s private pay business.
- Utilize projections to determine and forecast resource needs.
- Implement communication strategies to promote shared vision and collaborative working relationships.
- Engage with and support special projects or new programs as required.
People Management and Team Development
- Evaluate performance and ensure development of PSW skills and competencies.
- Coach and manage employees with performance issues; consult with Human Resources.
- Interview, select, hire, and onboard new employees.
- Follow employee relations/labour relations processes and relevant policies.
- Facilitate and maintain team development opportunities, including staff education.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements (Employment Standards, WSIB, Health & Safety legislation, etc.).
Quality Service Delivery
- Conduct complaint and incident investigations; develop risk management action plans.
- Respond to client feedback and service inquiries promptly.
- Ensure client care plans are appropriate, consistently executed, and supported by follow‑up visits.
- Communicate with staff and stakeholders effectively and timely.
- Take appropriate action to understand and meet client needs and preclude refusals of service.
Requirements
- Regulated health care professional RPN, holding a current professional license in good standing in Ontario.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma required.
- Minimum 1-year leadership/management experience preferred (1‑2 years for internal employees).
- Minimum 6 months community nursing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated Saint Elizabeth values and core leadership competencies.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Outcome‑oriented and able to achieve desired results.
- Sound understanding of documentation standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Computer skills with familiarity with scheduling systems.
- Ability to work in an on‑call after‑hours rotation.
- A vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Willing and able to provide care for clients as required.
- Performance management experience preferred.
