Join The Salvation Army's mission as Night Shift Support Staff in London, Ontario. Provide compassionate care for children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities in a structured overnight workplace.
In this role, you will focus on providing respite care while ensuring each participant's needs are met. Responsibilities span medication management, safety assurance through room checks, and meal preparation as part of a collaborative team. Your advocacy will promote the health and well-being of program participants in this rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet the physical, emotional, and behavioral needs of participants
• Conduct half-hourly safety and room checks, documenting findings
• Prepare meals in compliance with approved menus
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of living space
• Work with families and community partners to ensure participant safety
Requirements:
• Completion of relevant Community College education
• At least one year of direct care experience preferred
• Current certifications in First Aid and CPR needed
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification is required
• Background check with vulnerable sector screening mandatory
Deliver compassionate, organized care throughout the night while supporting The Salvation Army's mission.
