Become a Believe Career Advisor and support LGBTQI+ newcomers with expert career coaching and workshop facilitation. This temporary full-time position runs until March 31st, 2028.
As a Career Advisor, you will offer personalized guidance and develop action plans that connect clients with inclusive job opportunities. Your efforts will enhance visibility and support for the 2SLGBTQI+ community by engaging with employers and providing essential workshops on job readiness and self-advocacy. You will also contribute to the creation of supportive environments through career development and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in participant intake and needs assessments
• Represent the program at community events




• Develop and facilitate employability skills workshops
• Connect clients with industry mentors and job leads
• Research community opportunities for enhanced support
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education or certification
• 1-2 years of career services experience
• Understanding of LGBTQI+ employment barriers
• Strong communication and networking abilities
• Experience with online facilitation tools
