In this permanent position, you will report directly to the Site Manager and adhere to Lookout’s mission and Code of Ethics. Your experience in cooking will be crucial as you prepare meals for adults facing challenges in food access and support. The role requires compliance with health and safety standards and oversight of kitchen volunteers for an efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, cook, and serve daily meals and snacks
• Ensure food availability for guests after hours
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas




• Oversee kitchen volunteers during meal prep
• Organize and complete tasks in a safe environment
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and Cooking Diploma required
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 and FOODSAFE Certificate
• Two years of related experience or equivalent
• Experience with menu planning and supply lists
• Robust communication skills in diverse settings
