What You’ll Do
- Create high-quality, developer-focused content including user guides, programming guides, API/reference docs, technical notes, and release notes.
- Turn complex technical concepts into clear, well‑structured, and practical documentation.
- Develop meaningful examples that help developers quickly understand and apply QNX technologies.
- Partner with engineers, architects, and product managers to gather insights directly from source code, designs, and real‑world use cases.
- Work with technical project managers to plan and deliver documentation aligned with product timelines.
- Maintain and evolve documentation toolchains using DITA‑OT, including customization with CSS and XSLT.
- Publish content across up-to-date platforms (WebHelp, PDF) using tools like Oxygen XML.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience writing technical documentation for a developer audience.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, structured authoring, and modern documentation practices.
- Familiarity with markup languages, version control, and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret code (C / C++).
- Experience customizing documentation outputs using tools like DITA‑OT, XSLT, CSS, or similar frameworks.
- Exposure to scripting (Python, shell, etc.) to automate workflows or tooling.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
If you have any of these then that would be great
- Experience documenting complex or embedded systems.
- Knowledge of search optimization, content discoverability, and user experience (UX) in documentation.
- Experience building or optimizing documentation toolchains.
- Scripting in Python or Perl for automation and testing.
