As a Laboratory Assistant in Specimen Processing, you will process and handle various laboratory specimens while providing essential support to team members at the LHSC. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, focusing on delivering accurate results and excellent customer care within the Department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process blood samples and laboratory specimens accurately
• Enter patient and test information for requisitions
• Support the LHSC team with sorting specimens
• Adhere to SOPs for sample handling and documentation
• Maintain confidentiality while ensuring quality compliance
Requirements:
• CSMLS or BCSLS certification desirable
• Bachelor’s in a health-related field or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of specimen processing experience
• Proven skills in phlebotomy and patient care
• Proficiency in English for clear communication
