The Halton Children’s Aid Society is seeking dedicated individuals to mentor children and youth. As a Mentor, your role involves fostering friendships, building trust, and instilling confidence in young lives. This position requires a commitment of approximately once a week for at least a year, contributing your time to support the growth and development of youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide positive, supportive communication with mentees
• Report activities and progress to the assigned worker
• Attend to the interests and needs of children and youth
• Own the goals set by the Society and the worker
• Follow the guidelines in the Society’s Code of Conduct
Requirements:
• Experience relating to children and youth
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Vulnerable Sector Screening required
• Valuable organizational and time management skills
• Patience and a caring personality
