Transform young minds as a Classroom Teacher at T̓łisa̱lagi'lakw School. Engage students in grades 2/3 or 3/4 while integrating Kwakwakʼwawk culture and the British Columbia Curriculum.
We are seeking two passionate Teachers to foster academic and social growth in students at T̓łisa̱lagi'lakw School. You will design comprehensive lesson plans and evaluate students' progress regularly. Collaboration with administration and inclusive education specialists is crucial to support all students effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach assigned students in targeted grade levels
• Involve families and community members in classroom activities
• Prepare and implement yearly and daily lesson plans
• Evaluate and report on students’ progress consistently
• Participate in school teams and extra-curricular activities
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent
• Member of the British Columbia College of Teachers
• Knowledge of British Columbia Curriculum
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous experience in a First Nations community preferred
