As Manager, Personal Banking Credit Strategy, you are primarily responsible for developing credit strategies using advanced analytics for a Retail Banking credit product as well as improving profitability by recommending solutions that balance risk, reward, operational efficiency, and customer impact. You will work to support the business targets for growth, while ensuring appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place and the overall quality of the portfolio is maintained What will you do?
Support the Senior Manager in designing credit strategies covering a retail banking product, including targeting criteria, adjudication and exposure management, ensuring adequacy of risk and return as well as regulatory and internal compliance through comprehensive data analysis and predictive financial and credit modeling. Presenting results of your analysis and recommendations with stakeholders and senior management in Group Risk Management, Product teams, and Collections to understand and propose new strategies designed to help achieve business targets as well as obtain approval of credit strategies with concise rationale supported by comprehensive analysis and documentation. Identify and recommend opportunities, and drive initiatives that will enhance strategy and portfolio performance or improve existing processes. Develop and manage performance monitoring and reporting for relevant strategies and customer segments, in order to enable actionable insight for key stakeholders, including Group Risk Management.
Support new strategy development with advanced analytics and data science. Cross-functional stakeholder management of business, operations and other GRM teams. Monitor any changes in portfolio risk to pre-empt stress to Collections. What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
2+ years of experience performing advanced analytics or data science, ideally for credit lending or deposit products. Proficient technical knowledge of data querying and related tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Excel, etc. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create and articulate a compelling business case to senior management and other stakeholders Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills MBA and/or Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Statistics or other quantitative field of study. Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of risk management, credit strategy, and analytics Knowledge of Personal banking products What’s in it for you?
