KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the opening and closing of all files/on-going file maintenance
- General clerical duties including service of pleadings and court filings, membership renewals, and LawPro filing
- Responsible for incoming mail/outgoing mail and couriers
- Maintain office supplies/coordinate maintenance of office equipment
- Responsible for data entry of General Counsel’s dockets
- Responsible for accounts payable and receivables within the Law Department including invoice payments,
credit card reconciliation; cheque requisitions, process lawyer expenses
- Assist in the preparation of documents including correspondence, reports, notices, memos and emails and respond to routine inquiries
- Assist in preparing/delivery of medical/legal briefs
- Assist in the scheduling and coordination of meetings, discoveries, appointments and travel arrangements for legal counsel as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills
- Advance working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, with particular emphasis on Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

- Enjoys a variety of work
- Ability to work and form good working relationships
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- College Diploma within the field of Legal Administration
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience in an administrative role
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Working at a computer for much of the day
- HIROC is committed to a hybrid work environment, which includes 2 days per week in office, with departments meeting in person at least two times per month, as per HIROC’s Hybrid Work Policy. HIROC’s hybrid model provides opportunities for team building, education, leadership development and cross departmental relationship building.
- SALARY RANGE: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00
The salary range offered for this position will be determined by a variety of factors including the candidate’s skills, competencies,
qualifications and relevant experience, in accordance with HIROC’s Compensation Policy.
