The Cook I is integral to food preparation and distribution in our facility's Nutrition Services. Under supervisory guidance, this role includes overseeing food safety and supervising other staff. The ideal candidate will have healthcare food service experience and a Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1 or willingness to earn it.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals according to therapeutic and standard guidelines
• Maintain secure food preparation environments and practices
• Assist in planning and evaluating menu items




• Ensure appropriate food labeling and storage procedures are followed
• Engage in quality control and departmental audits
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education (MB Standards)
• Experience in food service or cooking preferred
• Demonstrable skill in effective communication
