Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is currently seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Associate to join our team in a fast-paced metal fabrication and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, and shipping/receiving activities within manufacturing, fabrication, structural steel, or heavy industrial environments, along with a robust understanding of inventory management practices, warehouse procedures, and material flow processes. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials and components to support production and customer requirements.

The following tasks and duties are to be performed in a safe consistent and timely manner.

Description of Task or Duty:

- Monitor and maintain levels of structural steel, plate, pipe, hardware and shop consumables.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and mill test reports (MTRs).
- Label, tag and organize materials for efficient shop floor access and traceability.
- Track heat numbers and material certifications where required
- Coordinate with purchasing to reorder materials based on demand, lead time and min/max inventory levels.
- Issue materials to shop personnel and track usage per job/project
- Maintain accurate records in inventory management system (ERP).
- Identify and resolve discrepancies,



shortages or damaged materials.
- Optimize storage layout for efficiency, safety and space utilization.
- Assist with additional shipping and receiving activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary in supply chain/logistics is an asset)
- 2+ years of inventory control experience (steel fabrication or manufacturing preferred)
- Steel Fabrication experience an asset
- Knowledge of structural steel materials, shapes and grades is a strong asset.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings and material lists
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)

Working Conditions

- Shop/warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust and heavy equipment
- Frequent standing, walking and lifting (up to 50lb)
- Use of PPE required (metatarsal work boots, gloves, hearing protection, etc.)

Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour.
