Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Experience
- 4-5 years’ experience working with individuals in mental health and addictions required.
- Experience in the intake process will be considered an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Master’s degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited education institution required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Active member in valuable standing of an associated regulatory body.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated skill in assessment and triage, as well as the ability to provide service consultation to a variety of referral sources.
- Current and comprehensive knowledge of regional health authorities’ (inclusive of Shared Health’s) Mental Health and Addictions program services, as well as community services and resources.
- Ability to use ambulatory module of Altera Sunrise.
- An understanding of, and sensitivity to, working with culturally diverse populations is essential.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
