Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Rehabilitation Assistant in Halifax. This temporary full-time role supports children and youth through innovative therapy services while contributing to family-centered care.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, you will collaborate with experienced physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Your responsibilities include developing patient care plans, documenting therapy sessions, and maintaining the quality of equipment. Flexibility in your schedule is essential as you may work evenings and weekends to support patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with patient therapy sessions and activities
• Maintain and organize treatment and storage areas
• Document and review patient progress with the team
• Participate in rehabilitation committees and training
• Assist community rehabilitation services as needed
Requirements:
• Completion of recognized OTA/PTA program
• One year of experience as Rehabilitation Assistant
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• BLS certification and valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work flexible schedule when necessary
