Responsibilities
- Support internal and external quality concerns through investigation support, documentation, and follow-up communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control support to operations personnel as required.
- Perform required FAI/PPAP inspection activities and prepare required documentation.
- Perform laboratory testing (density index, tensile test, hardness test,
spectrometry) and prepare required certification of results.
- Develop, implement, and maintain all gauging, testing, and inspection procedures and equipment.
- Conduct and report on internal and external quality management system audits.
- Maintain control of all QMS required documentation.
- As necessary, address quality of supplier products or services.
The ideal candidate will have the following
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience in quality, manufacturing, mechanical technology, or related technical discipline.
- Hands‑on / team‑based problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to interpret drawings and perform manual inspection using common measuring tools.
- Comfortable using basic PC applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word, for data entry, documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Experience with CMM based inspection methods, PPAP, ISO 9001, and statistical methods would be considered an asset.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around the production floor as required.
