This role requires a dynamic professional with 2-5 years of hands-on health and safety experience, focusing on civil engineering and heavy infrastructure. You will directly influence the project’s safety ethos, deploying best practices and leading safety initiatives in a complex environment where no two days are alike. Collaboration with engineering and project teams is key to embed safety from the planning stage onwards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the site health and safety authority
• Implement and ensure compliance with HSE prevention programs
• Conduct daily field inspections and safety audits
• Lead safety training sessions for teams and subcontractors
• Mentor junior health and safety team members
Requirements:
• Experience on civil construction projects
• 2-5 years in health and safety on major projects
• Relevant OHS certifications required
• Knowledge of Quebec's CNESST standards
• Bilingual: French and English communication skills
