The Maintenance and Security Coordinator plays a pivotal role in maintaining facility safety and security. You will oversee building maintenance services, address mechanical issues, and promote best practices in health and safety across SIIT's various sites. This position involves collaboration with the Occupational Health & Safety Committees and Security Threat Assessment Team to ensure organizational compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain electrical and HVAC systems for operational safety
• Perform preventive maintenance and administrative tasks




• Organize cleaning and service contracts efficiently
• Respond to inquiries and equipment alarms proactively
• Assist with safety inspections and emergency procedures
Requirements:
• Diploma in building maintenance with 5+ years’ experience
• Valid Firemen's Certificate and Health & Safety credentials
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Reliable vehicle and driver's license for travel
• Knowledge of First Nations culture is an asset
