Assisted Living Alberta is seeking a dedicated Health Care Aide to provide personalized, client-centered care in homes and community settings. This role involves assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the dignity and comfort of clients.
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will work under the supervision of regulated health professionals, delivering essential support services to patients in accordance with care plans. Key functions include assisting with mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and emotional support. You will also engage with families to maintain effective communication and report on patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care and support for daily living activities
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and feeding needs
• Deliver respite support and emotional assistance
• Perform health-related tasks like medication and catheter care
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients
Requirements:
• Registration eligibility with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta
• Proof of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months
• BCLS-HCP and First Aid certifications required
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 50 lbs
