Join Covenant House Vancouver as a Facility Maintenance Engineer, responsible for maintaining the operations of our facilities and addressing urgent repair needs. This role is fully on-site and is critical for ensuring a safe setting for at-risk youth.
We are looking for a Shift Engineer to keep our property and equipment in top condition. Your efforts will ensure that our organization continues to provide support to vulnerable youth. The position involves preventive maintenance, prompt response to repair requests, and daily documentation of activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Address urgent maintenance and repair requests
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
• Test and troubleshoot plumbing and electrical systems
• Communicate maintenance status to all relevant teams
• Maintain inventory records for repair parts
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in relevant fields
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel
• Computer skills for managing work orders
