About the project:

When her mother pressures her into an unwanted arranged marriage, Amrita makes an impulsive decision with her best friend Jonah: they will marry each other. They soon discover that their plan forces them to confront deeper questions about love, family, identity, and the future they truly want. This film explores friendship, family, and identity. Scenes include emotional conversations, simulated drinking, cultural/family themes, and a brief non-romantic kiss between characters for comedic effect.
