Job Description :

Our client is looking for a Project Manager with experience in Construction Industry to join their team in Edmonton.

Must Have Primary Skills :

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or a relevant technical certificate or diploma with10+ years of relevant experience;
- 5-7 years of project management experience, preferably in a constructionenvironment is preferable
- Experience with utility construction in energized substations and knowledgeable inthe hazards and appropriate safe work practices
- Understanding and experience with project permitting, environmental assessmentsand stakeholder engagement
- Thorough understanding and experience of foundation Project Managementprocesses and procedures aligned with the Project Management Body ofKnowledge
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is highly desirable
- Experience and knowledge around Alberta Electric System Operator projectlifecycle is highly desirable
- Experience in major equipment and construction services procurement including;Request for Proposal development, tendering, evaluating, contract negotiationsand contract administration.

- Ability to work with limited direction and to function as a key team member.

Proven Experience In :

The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of project delivery from projectinception through to close out, including: Cost and schedule monitoring, organizing resources and crews, contractmanagement, health, safety and environment(“HSE”) reporting, qualitymanagement, coordinating regulatory deliverables and records management. Manage a portfolio of projects of varying degrees of size and complexity fromproject inception through to project close out; Ensure the secure execution of all projects by supporting hazard identification andsafe work planning at all phases of the project. Ensure conformance to all relevantOccupational, Health and Safety (OH&S;”) legislation and clients internal HSEpolicies and procedures
