The Town of Caledon seeks an Operator I to maintain urban and rural infrastructure. Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in road maintenance and heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities include plowing, salting, and conducting routine equipment maintenance for safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in winter road maintenance programs
• Operate small and heavy equipment safely
• Conduct daily safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Report road conditions to the area Supervisor
• Complete routine labourer-related tasks as directed
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion or equivalent
• Valid DZ and/or AZ driver’s license in good standing
• Minimum two years’ experience with heavy equipment
• Ability to work irregular hours and shifts
• Knowledge of safety precautions in road work
