Job Description
The Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic is responsible for responding to emergency and non‑emergency calls for service, providing initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons at the Advanced Life Support level and providing medical coverage,
assessment and care at the RQHR – Addictions Treatment Center. Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
Education and Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12
- Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
- Certificate or Diploma from a recognized health institution
Licenses and Certifications
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate (CPR)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
Other Information
- Registered or eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT‑P
- Physically fit and able to perform duties as outlined
