As a Materials Engineering Technologist at SGS, you will engage in a variety of laboratory tests with a focus on accuracy and compliance. A post-secondary education in a relevant field is required, in addition to 3-5 years of laboratory experience. The position includes responsibilities such as equipment maintenance, maintaining cleanliness, and applying industry codes to testing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive laboratory tests with precision
• Organize and prioritize daily testing tasks
• Maintain testing equipment and perform scheduled maintenance
• Follow ISO 17025 quality program requirements
• Coordinate special projects as assigned
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Materials Engineering or related field
• Registration eligibility with ASET
• 3-5 years of laboratory experience highly regarded
• Solid computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
