Join the Developmental Disabilities Association as a Casual Residential Care Worker in Vancouver and Richmond. Support individuals with developmental disabilities in their physical and emotional well-being.
DDA, a leader in advocacy for families with special needs since 1952, seeks both recent graduates and experienced professionals. This role focuses on enhancing residents' rights, self-determination, and overall quality of life. You will provide essential assistance in group homes, enabling each individual to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support residents’ recreational, emotional, and physical needs
• Assist in self-determination and rights advocacy
• Implement knowledge in adaptive communication techniques




• Facilitate community involvement and inclusion
• Maintain records and reports for individual care plans
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Services, Human Services, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience with developmental disabilities
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification
• Class 5 Driver's License required
• Satisfactory Driver's Abstract and Criminal Record Clearance
