Boutique Assistant – Cartier, Vancouver
Role Overview:
The Boutique Assistant will support the execution of the client experience strategy in the boutique, creating exceptional client experiences and fostering brand loyalty through a luxury boutique environment.
Responsibilities
Build extraordinary client experiences through hospitality excellence
- Promote a warm and welcoming boutique environment that aligns with Cartier Values.
- Assist the boutique team front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house with appointment preparation, client entertainment, product presentation, sales finalization (e.g., running product, gift wrapping, food & beverage service).
- Support sales associates in setting the stage for impactful discovery and pre‑appointment browsing.
- Manage boutique appointment booking tool (RDV) and queue flow as needed.
Enhance the boutique environment
- Maintain visual standards of wrap rooms and organization of Client Services areas.
- Replenish daily needs for sales and hospitality areas and support the order process.
- Support client treatment and personal services, including directions, reservations, entertainment requests, floral orders, and creation of supporting materials.
- Handle phone duties: incoming calls, retrieval of messages, appointment setting.
- Assist clients with quick service and personalization requests such as strap changes, watch sizing, cleaning, engraving, embossing.
- Participate in daily setup and breakdown of boutique for opening/closing.
- Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator to manage stock maintenance of non‑sell‑allables.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Maison / industry knowledge and compliance
- Understand and comply with security and operational procedures.
- Stay current on industry news, local and global competition, and community connections.
- Strive for operational excellence related to the boutique environment.

Qualifications
Experience
- Previous experience in luxury retail, service, or hospitality industry is a plus.
Technical Skills / Abilities
- Excellent computer skills and use of technology.
- MS Office required; SAP knowledge preferred.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
Boutique Assistants must be capable of prolonged standing, walking, frequent bending or kneeling, and lifting/moving up to approximately 45 lbs. High energy and physical stamina are essential.
Core Physical Demands
- Extensive standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 45 lbs.
- Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to frequently climb stairs between areas.
- Comfortable working in tight or confined back‑of‑house spaces.
- Ability to safely handle and work with glassware during hosting and service operations.
Personal Skills
- Must be available to work retail hours (including weekends) and travel for training.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of client service needs and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Compensation
Expected Hourly Range: $24 to $25 (Overtime eligible). Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience. This position is payrolled through a third party.
