Engage with students and support mental health as a Counsellor Itinerant in Hope, B.C. This position offers versatile scheduling to accommodate student and family needs. As a member of the district team, you will implement mental health services for students, driving initiatives in SOGI and VTRA while collaborating with various stakeholders.
This role requires a robust advocate for families and students, ensuring their needs are met through comprehensive support and community connections. Key Responsibilities:
Provide mental health services remotely and in-person
Lead initiatives related to SOGI and VTRA assessments
Work collaboratively with Indigenous communities and agencies
Assist teachers and administrators in fulfilling student needs
Develop risk assessments and safety plans Requirements:
Master's degree in Counselling or equivalent with school focus
Current B.C.
Teaching
Certificate
Familiarity with Ministry of Education policies
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred experience in crisis response and student advocacy Make a positive impact on student mental health in Hope's district as a dedicated Counsellor.
