We are a busy, quick-paced restaurant committed to serving high-quality food and creating exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Head Cook who is passionate about cooking, takes pride in consistency, and thrives in a high-volume kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared and presented.
Complete daily prep and maintain an organized workstation.
Maintain food quality, freshness, and proper portion control.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient at all times.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
Ensure kitchen equipment is used properly and report any maintenance issues.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy restaurant kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
