Summary

As a Greenhouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations within the greenhouse, ensuring optimal plant growth and health. Join our team to contribute to a thriving agricultural workplace.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide supervision to Greenhouse personnel in the proper maintenance and care of Long English and Mini cucumbers.
Ensure all procedures, standards, food safety etc., are adhered to.
Manage daily crop care efforts to maximize production and ensure proper techniques and sequence of tasks to benefit crop growth.
Follow company cultivation methods and work closely with the rest of the cultivation department to develop and improve processes and supervise all post-harvest activities.
Manage pest pressure using IPM and environmental control techniques.
Observe that Work Safe Practices are being followed.
Initiate and foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork within and between departments.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent,



required; post-secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture or related field, preferred.
Minimum one (1) year of high wire greenhouse supervisory experience, required.
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a commercial greenhouse workplace, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Spanish would be a plus
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; numeracy skills, required.
Proven ability to detect plant diseases and the existence of insects.
Computer Skills required; Microsoft (MS) Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of PRIVA greenhouse climate control system, preferred

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
