Position Overview

Lead Drafting Services / Product Definition Technician at Pratt & Whitney Canada, Mississauga facility. Works on aircraft engine drafting and modeling.

Responsibilities
Produce, revise, and verify all drawings and related documents for parts, assemblies, and complete engines using CAD and online systems.
Perform complex drafting duties with Computer Aided Design (CAD). Focus on assembly drawings, clearance and tolerance charts, 3D models, and 3D Digital Mock‑Ups (DMU).
Provide technical assistance and support through all detail design phases.
Give technical direction to draftspersons on less complex designs, redesigns (DMU, EMU), and junior drafts.
Ensure compliance with governing procedures, P&W; Canada Environment, Health & Safety rules, and quality requirements.
Document engineering changes or releases and ensure supporting paperwork is complete before approval and release.

Qualifications
Minimum of a College Technical Diploma in Mechanical Drafting or equivalent.
Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical drafting and CAD (particularly CATIA V5).




Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management databases such as Enovia and VPM.
Experience with Dassault Systemes 3DX and Siemens Smarteam is preferred.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
