Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental/Orthodontic Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support orthodontists in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Duties
Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, including taking impressions, x-rays, and digital scans using CAD technology
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in compliance with health and safety standards
Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
Provide patient education on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices
Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed
Assist with the fabrication and adjustment of orthodontic appliances




Maintain accurate documentation of treatment progress and updates in medical terminology
Support pediatric patients by creating a comforting workplace and explaining procedures clearly

Skills
Proficiency with dental software platforms including Epic and Dentrix
Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology
Experience in dental assisting with a focus on orthodontics preferred
Familiarity with CAD for digital impressions or appliance design is a plus
Strong communication skills suitable for working with pediatric patients and their families
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Basic understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics
Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in pediatric dental settings is advantageous

Pay: $20.48-$23.00 per hour
