Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial or commercial cleaning and take pride in delivering quality service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a qualified setting with a focus on attention to detail and reliability

Duties
Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas
Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established protocols
Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are running low
Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
Ensure all assigned areas are kept tidy and presentable throughout the shift
Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities

Qualifications
Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided




Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Robust attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Positive physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift light equipment or supplies as needed
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures is a plus
Must be able to pass a police check

Hours
2 cleaning sites - total of 12 hrs/week - Wed and weekends - anytime after 5pm

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
Hanover, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:
Commercial cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
