Reporting to the Deputy Fire Commissioner, the successful candidate will oversee and enhance response programs. This position calls for expertise in emergency management and effective leadership. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the Office of the Fire Commissioner's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement emergency response systems and procedures
Coordinate complex response programs with internal and external partners
Develop training courses and conduct evaluations
Write detailed operational reports and plans
Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders
Requirements:
Experience in emergency services or management
Background as a structural or wildfire firefighter
Knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS)
Solid analytical and organizational skills
Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license
