About the Position

We are seeking a reliable, qualified, and customer-focused Storage Facility Customer Service Representative / Site Attendant to oversee the daily operations of a growing self-storage facility in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for customer service, facility operations, unit rentals, site inspections, collections, and maintaining a clean, safe, and secure property.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, interacting with customers, and taking ownership of day-to-day operations.

$19.50–$20.50 per hour starting, based on experience.

Responsibilities
Assist customers with unit rentals, move-ins, and move-outs
Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries
Process payments and maintain accurate records
Conduct regular site inspections and security checks
Monitor facility access and ensure compliance with facility policies
Coordinate basic maintenance and repairs as required
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the property
Manage delinquent accounts and collections procedures
Assist with marketing and customer retention initiatives
Prepare reports and perform general administrative duties
Provide exceptional customer service at all times
Light facility upkeep,



including office cleaning, mopping, dusting, and property checks. Ability to assist with occasional grass cutting is an asset, but not required.

Qualifications
Previous customer service experience required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Ability to perform outdoor inspections

Preferred Qualifications
Self-storage experience
Sales or retail management experience
Administrative experience
