Seasonal Equipment Operator

Lethbridge County, AB

Lethbridge County is hiring a Seasonal Equipment Operator to support road construction, drainage, and public works projects throughout the County.

Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, dozers, grader, scraper and tandem trucks
Perform grading, excavation, hauling, and site preparation
Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Report mechanical issues and assist with minor troubleshooting
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Assist with general labour duties as required

Qualifications
Experience operating heavy equipment in road construction, drainage, or civil construction
Solid understanding of secure work practices




Mechanical knowledge is an asset
Valid Class 3 driver’s licence required
Class 1 driver’s licence is an asset

Working Conditions
Outdoor work in various weather conditions
Overtime and weekend work may be required during the season

A satisfactory Police Information Check and Driver's Abstract are required for successful applicants.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
