Overview

Danby's Richmond is looking for an experienced, reliable Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can confidently run a station, and works well both independently and as part of a team.

Duties
Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while adhering to recipes and presentation standards
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and prevent cross-contamination
Support the team during busy service periods by managing multiple orders with accuracy and speed
Prepare and cook menu items to our standards.
Complete daily prep including cutting, portioning, and food preparation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation.
Work efficiently during busy services while producing consistent, quality food.
Follow recipes and presentation standards.
Support the kitchen team and help keep service running smoothly.

Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service in a restaurant or food industry setting




Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Robust attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude under pressure
Basic understanding of meal preparation processes and kitchen operations
Previous line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
Strong knife skills and solid cooking knowledge.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Open availability, including evenings and weekends.
Reliable, motivated, and eager to continue learning.

Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
