The First Aid Technician position requires a nursing student or first aid technician. They are responsible for all medical treatment of campers and staff. They also teach skills that encourage a healthy lifestyle as well as run health workshops and special programming to ensure campers are learning skills.

Responsibilities:
All medically related problems
Assessing ALL injuries and treatment of minor injuries
Administering all medications to campers and keeping transparent up to date records on a daily basis
Completion of Accident Reports
Informing parents of children seen in the Health Centre or sent to the hospital
Keeping track of campers seen with lice and doing a follow up
Ensuring the Health Centre confidentiality policy is respected at all times
Ensuring the protected storage of all medication (to be locked at all times).
Stocking and replenishments of all first aid kits,



cabin kits, and rover packs in conformity with the “Reglement sur les normes minimales de premiers soins et de premiers secures”
On call 24 hours/day for emergencies
Maintaining cleanliness of the Health Centre including the floor as well as washing, towels and sheets for the Health Centre.
Responsible for organizing and running effective Health Awareness workshop with campers minimally once a session. As well as organizing a workshop for the LIT program with the LIT Coordinator.

Requirements:

18 yrs old+

Enrolled in a nursing program

First Aid and CPR Certification

Assets:

Experience working as a nurse

Nursing Degree
